What makes a person adaptable?
Skills. Experience. Purpose.
Skills
“It’s not about being great at any one thing; you just need to be pretty good at an array of useful skills that, when combined, make you truly one-of-a-kind, where the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts.”
- Tomas Pueyo, Vice President of growth at the education technology website, Course Hero.
Some of the parts.
And my thoughts on them.
Problem Solver
The best problem solving technique is prevention. However, when issues present, solving them is a process - asking the right questions, active listening with key participants, and critical thinking to create a plan of action.
Creativity
Creativity exists in many forms. Whether sculpting a piece of clay, shaping policy, or outlining a project - it requires observation, empathy, intuition, decision making and intention. When applied to various situations, informed solutions are possible.
Coach
Servant leadership can be an impactful tool for guiding team members. Leading by example in day-to-day actions and engaging generously with less experienced associates can have positive and lasting results.
